Welcome. These Terms & Conditions explain the expectations that apply when you browse the Digital Home Front website, request information, schedule a consultation, or engage us for renovation, design, or related home improvement work. Our goal is to keep the relationship straightforward, so these terms describe the main responsibilities and conditions that may apply to your interaction with us.
1. Using our website
Our website is provided to help you learn about our services and contact our team. We make reasonable efforts to keep descriptions, photographs, examples, service information, and other materials useful and current, but website content may change without notice. Information displayed online should not be treated as a final quotation, construction specification, or promise that a particular service, material, finish, or design will be available for every project.
2. Consultations and project requests
Submitting a consultation request or project inquiry does not automatically create a contract. We may need additional information about your property, proposed work, desired finishes, access conditions, timing, and other requirements before determining whether we can undertake the project. A renovation engagement begins only when the applicable project documents or agreement have been accepted by the parties.
3. Estimates and proposals
Pricing is prepared using the information reasonably available when an estimate or proposal is created. An estimate may change if the scope changes, measurements differ, material prices change, or previously unknown property conditions are discovered. A final project price, included work, exclusions, allowances, and payment requirements will be determined by the applicable written agreement. Verbal discussions do not replace written project documentation where a written agreement is required.
4. Scope of work
Each project has a defined scope describing the services we have agreed to provide. Work outside that scope may require additional authorization and may result in additional charges or changes to the schedule. Requests involving layout changes, additional rooms, upgraded materials, revised finishes, additional installations, or other modifications should be reviewed before the additional work is undertaken. The written project documents will control if there is a difference between general website information and project-specific terms.
5. Property access
You are responsible for providing reasonable and timely access to the areas where work is scheduled. Please identify access restrictions, building requirements, parking limitations, security procedures, or other property rules before work begins. If access is unavailable when required, scheduled activities may need to be postponed. We should also be informed about conditions that could reasonably affect the work area, including fragile items, restricted areas, pets, or other household considerations.
6. Existing conditions
Renovation work involves existing properties, and some conditions may not be visible until portions of the structure are opened or removed. Hidden plumbing, electrical systems, moisture, deterioration, structural concerns, previous workmanship, unsuitable surfaces, or other unforeseen conditions may require additional investigation or work. When an unexpected condition materially affects the project, the scope, cost, or schedule may need to be adjusted before the affected work can continue.
7. Materials and selections
Materials, fixtures, appliances, finishes, hardware, and other products may be selected by you, recommended by us, or identified in the project documents. Availability, pricing, manufacturing schedules, colors, dimensions, and product specifications may change. If a selected product becomes unavailable or is discontinued, we may discuss reasonable alternatives with you. Changes to selections after ordering may result in additional costs, restocking charges, or scheduling adjustments where applicable.
8. Project schedules
We will make reasonable efforts to plan work according to the schedule communicated for your project. Completion dates may nevertheless be affected by material lead times, supplier delays, inspections, weather, site conditions, labor availability, client decisions, changes to the scope, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Schedule estimates are therefore planning targets unless a specific date is expressly guaranteed in the applicable written agreement.
9. Client decisions
Timely decisions can be important to maintaining project progress. You may be asked to approve designs, finishes, materials, layouts, colors, fixtures, or other project details. Delayed approvals or repeated changes may affect ordering, installation, sequencing, and completion timing. We will communicate decisions that require your attention as reasonably necessary during the project.
10. Payments
Payment amounts, deposits, billing milestones, due dates, and other financial terms are governed by the individual project agreement or applicable invoice. Clients are expected to make payments according to the agreed schedule. Where permitted by the project documents, outstanding balances or delayed payments may affect scheduling or continuation of work. Any deposit, material commitment, cancellation charge, or other payment treatment will be determined by the applicable project terms.
11. Changes and additional work
Renovation projects can evolve as decisions are made or existing conditions become clearer. We may document requested changes through a revised proposal, written change order, updated scope, or other project record. Additional work should not be assumed to be included merely because it relates generally to the original project. Any applicable cost or scheduling impact should be reviewed before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.
12. Cancellations and postponements
If you need to cancel, postpone, or pause a project, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible. The consequences of cancellation or postponement may depend on whether work has begun, materials have been purchased, labor has been scheduled, or third-party services have been arranged. Applicable cancellation rights, fees, refunds, and outstanding obligations will be determined by the signed project agreement and applicable law.
13. Workmanship and warranties
Where provided, workmanship warranties are governed by the written warranty applicable to your project and may include specific periods, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and procedures for reporting concerns. Products and materials may carry separate manufacturer warranties. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer's own conditions, and any assistance we provide with a warranty matter does not replace or expand the manufacturer's obligations.
14. Safety and care
Construction and renovation areas may contain tools, equipment, temporary barriers, dust, debris, noise, and other ordinary worksite hazards. Please keep children, pets, guests, and unauthorized individuals away from restricted work areas and follow reasonable safety instructions. After completion, clients are responsible for ordinary maintenance and for following applicable care instructions for installed materials, fixtures, appliances, and finishes.
15. Third-party providers
A project may involve manufacturers, suppliers, delivery companies, specialist trades, inspectors, designers, or other independent providers. Their products and services may be governed by separate terms, warranties, schedules, and policies. We may coordinate with these parties as part of project delivery, but their independent obligations remain subject to the arrangements applicable to their services.
16. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, photographs, graphics, illustrations, branding, layouts, and other original materials associated with Digital Home Front are protected by applicable intellectual property rights. You may view the website for personal and project-related purposes, but you may not reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, or commercially use our content without appropriate permission.
17. Responsible use
You agree not to use our website to introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website functionality, submit misleading information, impersonate another person, or engage in activity that violates applicable law or the rights of others. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, systems, business, or users.
18. Limitation of responsibility
Renovation work can be affected by circumstances that cannot always be predicted before construction begins. Except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded, Digital Home Front is not responsible for delays or impacts arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, concealed property conditions, supplier disruptions, severe weather, required approvals, or client-requested changes. Any specific limitations or remedies applicable to a project will be governed by the relevant written agreement.
19. Updates to these terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, business practices, or applicable requirements. Updated website terms may be posted periodically. Changes to website terms do not automatically modify an existing signed project agreement unless the applicable agreement expressly permits such modification.
